More than 50 native Houstonians showed up recently at The Gite Gallery for a fundraiser for Rhetta Andrews Bowers who is running for the Democratic House seat 113 out of Dallas.
Bowers, a Houstonian herself, was greeted by family members and old friends. Bowers has been living in Dallas for a number of years and decided to throw her hat in the political arena. Instead of talking about changing things, she decided she wanted to do more for her community and become a change agent herself. Keep an eye on this promising politician.
